... and we're off to the races!
We had a great first week of rehearsals. The harmonies we're starting to create are already showing signs of the awesomeness to come! This week we add dancing to our singing.
Not everyone is "on stage" all the time. Working in the theatre is a bit of a "hurry up and wait" process. We had quite a bit of "are we there yet" this past week, which is expected when working with young students who are involved in their first play. We encourage students to study their parts, read quietly, or bring a quiet activity to work on when they are waiting for their turn in the "spotlight."
Our volunteer coordinator, Darrin Darga, will be contacting you this week as to how you can help us provide the best theatrical experience for your student.
Please remember that only sneakers or other closed-toed shoes are allowed on stage. We will be dancing this week, and there will be no exceptions. Flip flops and sandals can be worn to the theater, but students must have proper footwear when on stage.
